Hi! I’m Dani. I grew up on a dairy farm in Gippsland wearing gumboots. Fast forward to 2014, while working a corporate job, I couldn’t find comfy, stylish, all-weather boots. That inspired me to create Merry People. I hope our boots bring comfort and a little extra joy to your everyday adventures!

We’ve taken our Merry Family to higher heights with the Fergie Boot! It is the tallest boot we’ve ever released, so it was only fitting we named it after the Ferguson Tree, the tallest tree recorded in Victoria.
With a long, lean silhouette and a chunkier heel, Fergie is a fashionable take on the traditional knee-high gumboot.
Don’t be fooled by its sleek appearance, this boot is designed, made and tested to perform. Having already gone through the paces through rigorous independent laboratory testing we know Fergie is built to take you to higher heights!

Got my boots and put them straight to the test! Of course, after walking around the house to really decide if they fit my feet right. Definitely fit better with a thick sock to better hold my foot in place and add a bit of extra cushion. I have pretty sensitive feet as well as bunions so certain footwear can hit my nerves and cause immediate discomfort. Hiked a good distance and didn’t have any major discomfort. For brand new footwear my feet lasted longer than i expected. Can’t wait to continue to wear them around our property for the upcoming seasons
