Hi! I’m Dani. I grew up on a dairy farm in Gippsland wearing gumboots. Fast forward to 2014, while working a corporate job, I couldn’t find comfy, stylish, all-weather boots. That inspired me to create Merry People. I hope our boots bring comfort and a little extra joy to your everyday adventures!

The rainy day essential item. The Matilda hat features a wide brim with a low cut back to keep you dry while looking stylish.
Made from a nylon outer with matte finish and soft cotton lining providing water resistance and UV protection. Crafted with cotton draw strings and internal pockets to keep them out of the way when not in use and an internal drawcord to adjust fit.
Available in two colours, Oxford Blue and Beetroot, they are the perfect partner for your Merry People boots!

This is too small. Wish I had read the reviews. Will only fit a very small head or child. You need to make a bigger one! Happy I can gift to someone but disappointed I cant wear it myself.

I’m very disappointed. The sizing is completely wrong. I am normally a 58cm fit and this is super tight. I also received a hat advertised as 59cm the same day and it’s loose on my head. I measured the inside circumference with my tape and it’s more like 56cm fit. Im actually quite annoyed because of so many reviews and then doubling down by customer service on the size. It’s not a 61cm hat! And I’ve incurred cost by trusting this company as I’ve had great experience with their boots and issues around them. Don’t buy this hat unless you have a small head. Coz they are lying bout the sizing, sadly.

Hat quality is good but I take a medium hat and this is suppose to be one size fits all but it is on the small side. Every time I put it on I remove it before I leave the house because it feels so tight
