Lochie Sandal

In many way these were exactly what I was after for life in the subtropics & travel in the often wet tropics: all weather, adjustable (for my odd sized feet) & simply stylish.

But, the little raised ridge which is supposed to find itself between toes & ball of foot is obviously designed with long toes in mind. On my short wide feet it irritatingly landed right under the ball of my foot & I had to carefully cut it back to make them comfortable.

Now they work fine...

These are truly the gumboot of sandals—bouncy and comfortable—good for all-day walking, in any weather (except maybe snow)! One minor issue to look out for: there are a few tiny but quite hard rubber nubs along the insole (mainly on the corners of the moulded lettering or the little raised toe separator at the front) that were uncomfortable underfoot but they came off very easily with nail clippers. I think they're from the machine when the soles are moulded. I did read a few reviews that mentioned something like this—so if you have soft feet (like I do), rub your fingers along the insole and you can easily feel the (very tiny) hard nubs of rubber and clip them off with nail clippers. Apart from that, I have nothing but good things to say about these shoes—they're surprisingly elegant and go with so many outfits—and great for daily wear. A request for the future: the Lochie as a flatform—with an extra inch thickness to the sole: that would be AWESOME!!

These sandals are extremely comfortable and I would 100% buy them again.

2 years ago I was starting to get back pain and it was worse when I was wearing thongs, so I got a pair of thongs with arch support, and found these no better.

I really wanted shoes that were easy to put on for summer walks, so I tried out the Lochie sandals and they have been a game changer. I can walk my dog in these and have 0 back pain. They were comfortable from the first wear!

I have some concerns as the strap looks to be coming away from the shoe a little bit. I also did not like the online sizing, I am normally a size 10-11 womens AU, it recommended I go for the 12... So I picked the 11.

I feel like they are a little too long and could have definitely gone with the 10 as the straps give lots of room to move.

As long as the straps don't fully come away from the sole, I will definitely buy another pair.
