Designed with an extra focus on function, Andie is made for tackling the messiest of tasks and adventures. Splashing into the Merry Family in three colourways Black, Peach and Ginger.
With a wider opening, extra height, and more coverage, Andie is ready to keep you dry and comfy as you take on whatever muddy, messy and merry adventures come your way. So if you’re a gardener, creative, florist or all-round green-thumb? The Andie Boot was made with you in mind.
Without further ado, let’s dig into the making of our Andie Boot!
Dig Into Andie’s Design
The idea for Andie came from our Product team wanting to meet the need for an ankle-boot made for messier, muddier adventures, while still keeping true to the versatility and functionality of all the Merry People products.
“We always design with versatility in mind,” explains Cass, our Head of Product, “but what I love about Andie is the extra coverage for messier activities and the clean lines of the design that make it feel a bit more sleek.”
This combination of versatility and function is a key ingredient in the design of Andie. Andie can easily take you from the garden, to going out for dinner!
It was important for Andie to feel like part of the Merry Family from the word go, which is why Andie was made on the same ‘last’ (an anatomical foot form used at every stage of shoe production) as the Tully Boot. Just like the Billie Clog was inspired by the Bobbi Boot (cut in half!), the Andie Boot shares the same outsole as the Tully Boot, but with a lower heel for a less chunky look.

Like all our boots and clogs, the Andie Boot design was expertly brought to life by our talented manufacturer in China. Our Head of Product, Cass, visited during the production of our Andie Boot—seeing Andie come to life on the production line was so exciting to see in-person.
Here’s a fun fact for those wanting a bit more behind the scenes!
What you see above is the neoprene lining ‘sock’ that sits within the Andie Boot. This 360-degree neoprene lining really sets Andie apart from other brands’ ankle-boots. That 4 mm of neoprene goes a long way in keeping your feet cushioned, comfy and (most importantly!) warm as you go about your gardening!

With a wider opening than our other ankle boots, Andie is even easier to slip on and off. We know this is a new design feature that many in our Merry Community will be excited about!
Easier to Clean
We love how easy the Andie is to clean too—with no exterior neoprene visible, the boot is always just a wash away from looking fresh as a daisy!
More Height and Coverage
When it’s on your foot, Andie sits between ankle and mid-calf height, offering you more waterproof and rubber coverage compared to our Bobbi and Tully Boots.
Lighter On Your Feet
Andie’s lower heel and lighter rubber compound, inspired by the Tully outsole, gives you all-day comfort—you’ll literally be lighter on your feet!
A Colour For Everyone
Colour = joy. That’s why a key feature of any Merry People boot is the colourway; from deep neutrals, to vibrant hues. Whether you’re a colour-lover or a neutrals-fan, you’ll be sure to find an Andie that tickles your fancy!
