Merry Team Long Weekends
With COVID restrictions easing in Victoria, our team has been thrilled to get outside over the long weekend for some adventures and family time! We’re checking in and sharing what they’ve been up to.
My family lives in Gippsland, Country Victoria, about 2 hours away from Melbourne. It's been great to duck down on the weekends to see everyone! Most recently, I went to celebrate my sister's birthday. My nephew Clancy gave me this painting - it's a hug! He said I could lay on it whenever I missed him.
My partner and I moved to Melbourne from Perth in September and have been itching to get outside and explore Victoria since then! As soon as restrictions were lifted, we went down to Point Lonsdale for a day trip, and for the long weekend we went to Wilsons Promontory to camp. Coming from Perth, the cold winter camp was a new experience - but totally worth it!
June has already brought the first dinners out and I'm enjoying making plans to see friends over the coming weeks. I'm excited to see faces and get some hugs. We took a drive over the long weekend for a rummage in vintage markets and a walk on the beach. While I'm excited to venture out again, this time has given me a new found love of my neighbourhood, I'm appreciating the parks, the river, local stores, and our recently reopened basketball hoop.
As the weather gets cooler my social calendar is warming up and coming out of hibernation! I went for a first pub meal in some time which was a treat, had a friends 40th birthday and a long lunch on the patio with good mates and conversation. Looking forward to getting out of the city over the next couple of weekends and explore more of what’s around locally.
Stay Merry everyone!!
