When you’re loading up the car for your next outdoor snowy adventure, don’t forget your beanie, scarf… and rubber gumboots!
Rubber boots are perfect for snow because they can provide the right amount of insulation for warmth, are waterproof, and can have better traction in snow compared to other footwear. Merry People gumboots are comfortable and colourful for whatever adventures you head off on!
Your Must-Have Winter Essential, Sorted!
Merry People gumboots are an essential item for any snow-capped day with the family, winter vacations, or even just drizzly days running errands.
Whether your day starts with a downpour or with ice underfoot, rubber boots are a must when it’s time to brave the outdoors. From crunchy, snowy walks in the neighbourhood to carving snow angels out at the top of Mount Buller, your Merry People rubber boots will keep you cosy and dry.
Here’s why Merry People’s gumboots are perfect for snow days:
More Insulation
Our boots are made from natural rubber and fully lined with cushioned, insulated neoprene for exceptional warmth and comfort.
This flexible lining wraps around throughout the entire interior, including the cuff, ensuring a cosy fit. Combined with the durable rubber outer, our boots are designed to keep you warm, even in sub-zero temperatures.
Waterproof Capabilities
Say goodbye to soggy socks!
Merry People rubber boots are made with natural rubber, and lined with neoprene. This makes them sturdier and 100% waterproof, keeping your socks and feet dry even on the rainiest day.
Unlike leather boots and sneakers, which are often made from materials that absorb water, our rubber gumboots are designed to repel it, keeping you completely dry.
Better Traction
While rubber boots don’t typically come with ice grips necessary for intense conditions or work boots, rubber boots tend to have more grip on the outer sole. This allows for more sturdy footing when walking in the snow.
However, our boots are not designed to be snow boot, so we do recommend you take care on icy surfaces. Using ice grips (available at sports or outdoor stores) can add more grip if you plan to wear them in icy or snowy conditions.
What About Freezing Weather?
Many gumboots are made from rubber or PVC, which makes them waterproof. However, most lack the insulation needed to keep your feet warm in freezing or snowy conditions.
That’s why we designed our boots to be as versatile as possible. All our rubber boots combine functionality and fashion, and are tested to perform in sub-zero temperatures.
