Hi! I’m Dani. I grew up on a dairy farm in Gippsland wearing gumboots. Fast forward to 2014, while working a corporate job, I couldn’t find comfy, stylish, all-weather boots. That inspired me to create Merry People. I hope our boots bring comfort and a little extra joy to your everyday adventures!

We want you, or the gift receiver, to be in love with this purchase. If the size or colour isn't quite right or if they need to be returned for another reason, please let us know and we can offer you an exchange or a full refund.
We have extended the returns window from our usual 30 days. Orders placed from the start of November to 24th December 2024 will be eligible for an extended returns period of 90 days.
We will cover the cost of you returning the boots to us if you're in Australia or New Zealand. Rest of world return shipping at your cost (we will send out your exchange size free of charge).

I ordered the Tulley boots as I’m a dog walker so am out walking for hours each day, I wanted a good sturdy waterproof boot that also looked cute. When I first wore them outside they started rubbing on both backs of ankles and the right foot was so tight and squashed the top of my toes and foot, and the left was loose. I actually had to borrow a pair of wellies from one of my dog owners as they were so bad I couldn’t walk in them anymore. When I got home my ankles were cut and sore. So I decided to try different socks the next day and plasters, but they were still so uncomfortable, and then I noticed my socks were wet! I got in contact with customer service but they weren’t exactly helpful and just said to try longer socks and that the rubber will stretch over time, and to hold off wearing them until my ankles healed. I couldn’t return them as they’d been worn, so am now down £98 and boots that I can’t wear for more than an hour. I feel that for that price they should allow you to try them for at least a week(outside) and be able to return them if they’re not right, as good customer service. Such a shame as they look great and do look like they’re good quality but sadly not.
