The Oberon came to life because our community kept asking for it. We'd heard for years that people wanted a wider, more rugged boot with a bit more personality than your average rain boot. So we built one.

Where the Bobbi leans classic and clean, the Oberon goes rugged and more robust. It's got a wider D-width fit and a square toe box, so if you've ever found our other styles a little narrow, this one's for you. The outsole is a classic tread design built for real grip on real terrain, and there's dual-layer reinforcement at the heel and toe with a hidden mudguard to give the whole boot extra structure and durability where it matters most.

Under the hood you've still got everything Merry People is known for. Fully waterproof rubber and neoprene construction, a shock-absorbing moulded PU footbed, and an anti-microbial spray lining to keep things fresh no matter how much you put them through. The colourways are earthy and understated, with subtle Merry People branding on the outsole and pull-tab webbing.

The wider D-width fit came about because we'd had years of requests for a waterproof boot that actually accommodates that. Often these request were for a Men's boot that was waterproof and wide-fitting. Wider feet don't discriminate, and plenty of women have found the Oberon is exactly the wide fit gumboot they'd been looking for too, especially if standard styles have always felt a bit narrow or pinched across the toe.

The square toe box gives everything more room to move, and the more rugged, robust silhouette has resonated with anyone who wants a waterproof boot that feels a little more rugged and less delicate than a classic style.

The Oberon comes in sizes 38 to 45, making it one of the more versatile unisex boot options in the Merry People range.
