To keep your Bobbi Kids looking great and lasting longer:
Store them indoors in a dry place, away from direct sunlight—prolonged sun exposure can dry out the rubber and fade the colour.
Use a silicone-based rubber treatment (like our Merry People Care Kit) to moisturise the rubber, prevent cracking, and keep your boots in top shape.
Clean them regularly after muddy adventures—hose off excess dirt and let them air dry. Dirt left on the boots can lead to drying or fading over time.
For tougher marks, use a mild detergent (like dishwashing liquid) and gently scrub with a cloth or sponge. Melamine sponges (Magic Erasers) are great for stubborn stains on both the rubber and neoprene.
We don’t recommend putting your Merrys in the washing machine, for the sake of both your shoes and the machine! Since they’re 100% waterproof, any water trapped inside won't easily dry out and can cause mould, so avoid fully submerging them.
How To Dry Out The Inside Of Your Boots
While our boots are 100% waterproof, water can sometimes get inside from the top. If that happens, follow these steps to dry them:
Use a small towel to absorb as much water as possible.
Stuff the boots with plenty of newspaper to soak up any residual moisture.
Place them upside down in a warm, indoor area.
After 24 hours, replace the damp newspaper and repeat if needed until the neoprene lining is completely dry.
If you need a slightly speedier solution, you can gently blow a hair dryer on low heat into the boots for a few seconds at a time until dry.

If you follow all the care instructions and still have issues with your shoes within the first year, we offer a 12-month warranty. If you feel our product hasn’t met this standard, please contact us at support@merrypeople.com with your purchase information and a photo of the product and issue. A member of our customer service team will get back to you within 24 business hours.
Blooming can occur naturally in rubber products. This can be treated using silicone, which can help reduce the white marks and keep the rubber moisturised, restoring colour.
You will need:
Silicone Spray or Oil and a dry cloth or paper towel. You can get silicone spray at most hardware and outdoor stores, and it's also inside our Merry People Care Kit.
Directions:
Apply a small amount of silicone solution to a clean cloth or paper towel. Start from the top and work down, a section at a time, wiping the cloth over the rubber in a circular motion. Take care to avoid the soles and the neoprene, and give extra attention to areas with more blooming.
Continue this until the silicone is absorbed by the rubber. Leave the shoes to dry completely, and the blooming should have gone. If there are any remaining spots, repeat the process.

A sponge applicator filled with 100% silicone oil. Use it to add extra shine and a layer of protection to your boots.
Microfibre Cloth
A soft, non-abrasive cloth designed to gently clean and polish the rubber surface.
Cleaning Brush
A firm-bristled brush ideal for removing dirt and debris before cleaning or treating your boots.
Care Kit Steps for Your Merry’s
Follow these Care Kit cleaning instructions to keep your Merry's looking their best and adventure-ready!
Step 1: CLEAN
Remove any excess dirt/debris with a hose, cloth or brush - if needed, you can use some mild detergent. Allow to dry and repeat the process as required. We do not recommend putting your Merry's in the washing machine.
Step 2: TREAT
Shake the rubber treatment bottle well and insert the spray nozzle. Spray a few times on the microfibre cloth and apply evenly to the rubber in a circular motion. DO NOT apply the silicon oil to the sole. Repeat for the other foot and allow to dry completely.
Step 3: SHINE
To activate your Buff and Shine, pump the internal sponge spring a few times and be patient as it makes its way through the sponge. For extra shine and protection, gently rub the Buff & Shine sponge in a circular motion over your Merry People's until a thin coat is evenly applied and allow to dry. Please note the concentrate recipe is mighty, so a little goes a long way!
Caution:
Our silicon solution is non-toxic; however, as with most cleaning products, we recommend using it in a well-ventilated area or outdoors and avoiding breathing in the spray. If the solution gets into the eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Ensure no solution from the treatment or buffer is applied on the sole, as this can cause slipping. If some ends up on the sole, clean with mild detergent and dry before wearing.
