Billie Size & Fit

Most customers find our Billies are true to size; however, we always recommend checking the size guide to be safe, as sizing can vary slightly across different styles. We suggest comparing your foot length to the insole measurement and allowing around 0.5–1cm of extra space for the best fit.

We also offer a footwear measuring tool on our product pages called Volumental, which allows you to scan your foot using a piece of paper to help find your best fit.

Because our Billies are made with natural materials, they will soften and relax with wear. If they feel a little snug at first, we recommend removing the inner sole for the first few days to help with the fit. You may find that after a few days of wear, the rubber has relaxed and you can pop the inner sole back in.

If you prefer to keep the inner sole out, our Billies are built with arch support and cushioning in the main sole to help maintain comfort.

To check if the width will be right for you, we recommend checking out the size chart, where we have all of the innersole width measurements!

If the fit still doesn’t feel right, you can return them for an exchange or full refund.

Fergie is the tallest boot in our range, coming knee-high and offering the most coverage for messy adventures. In a size EU39, Fergie weighs approximately 1kg per boot.

Weight can vary slightly across our range, depending on the product and materials used. You can find more detailed weight information for other styles on each specific product size and fit page.

All Merry People boots and clogs feature removable insoles, making it a breeze to add your orthotics or special inserts. Our top tip? Ensure the orthotic's length matches the Merry People innersole for a snug fit.

We’ve introduced Volumental's innovative foot-scanning technology to our products. This app integrates 3D scanning and intelligent algorithms to provide accurate foot measurements.

Using the app is straightforward:

• Pick Your Product: On your phone or desktop, head to the product page of the boot you would like to find your size in.
• Tap Volumental: Select the Volumental button on the product page (On phones, you’ll be prompted to allow the camera; on desktops, you’ll see a QR code to scan) as shown below.

• Find Your Size: Follow the app’s prompts to compare with other brands and scan for your Billie size!

It can be tricky with footwear that has no means to adjust the fit (no laces, etc). If you usually wear a half-size and are trying to decide between sizing up or down, we recommend comparing the length of your foot to the insole measurements in the size chart.

It's okay if the boots feel slightly snug to start, as they are made of natural rubber, which will soften and mould to your foot with wear.

However, they won't get any longer, so you don't want to size down if that means you won't have enough space in the toe. In the event that you have the length for comfort, but now find excessive space is causing your heel to move, the best recommendation is to alter the removable innersole to a thicker option.

At this stage, we don’t offer innersole variations for fit, but this is an adaptation our product team is working on.

No problem! We offer free returns and exchanges for all Australian and New Zealand customers, so you can easily swap sizes if the fit isn’t right.
