9 Tips for Finding Your Merry People Fit
We get it - no two feet are the same, and ordering shoes online can be tricky!
Here are our top tips for finding the right Merry People fit for you.
1. Not Sure of Your Size?
Whether you're considering a pair of Billie Clogs or Bobbi Boots, our size guide on each product page makes it simple to measure your foot or compare it with your existing shoes.
We always recommend checking before ordering: compare your foot length to the insole measurement and allow around 0.5–1cm of extra space for the best fit.

2. Half Size? Here's What To Do
If you are a half size, we recommend measuring the length of your foot and choosing the size closest to it.
And if it's not perfect, you can return your unworn pair - easy!
3. New Boots Feeling Firm?
Fresh out of the box, our boots can feel a little firm and snug: that's completely normal!
With wear, the rubber will soften and mould to your foot. Just make sure the length feels right from the start, as the rubber won't stretch lengthways.
4. Need A Little Extra Room?
If your boots feel snug, but the length is right, and a wider fit isn't what you're after, try removing the insole as an interim measure - this frees up around half a size of extra room while you settle in.
Once your boots have softened with wear, simply pop the insole back in!
5. Heel Slipping?
If the boot length feels right but your heel slips due to extra space, we recommend replacing the removable insole with a thicker insole for a more secure fit.
6. Got Orthotics?
All Merry People boots and clogs feature removable insoles, making it a breeze to add your orthotics or special inserts.
Our top tip? Ensure the orthotic's length matches the Merry People insole for a snug fit.
7. Wondering if Merry People is Unisex?
All Merry People products are unisex and designed to be worn by anyone.
Our current size range runs from EU 36–45, with availability for individual sizes varying depending on the style and colour.
8. Looking For A Wider Fit?
Our Bobbi, Tully, Andie and Fergie boots, along with our Billie Clogs, are made to a standard B-width fit. Our Lochie Sandals are a C-width fit.
If you're looking for a wider option, our Oberon Boot is designed for a more generous D-width.
9. Not Quite Right? We've Got You Covered
We offer free returns and exchanges for all Australian and New Zealand customers, so you can easily swap sizes if the fit isn't right.

Our best-selling Chelsea-style ankle boot. True to size for most, with a standard B-width fit. If your boots feel snug out of the box, try removing the insole for a little extra room while the rubber softens. Weighs approximately 600–650g per boot (EU39). -
Andie Boot · B-width · Find your size.
A classic ankle gumboot silhouette with a little more coverage. Standard B-width fit and similar in weight to the Bobbi at approximately 600–650g per boot (EU39). -
Tully Boot · B-width · Find your size.
A fashion-forward ankle boot with a chunky sole and platform-style heel. Standard B-width fit, but slightly heavier than our other ankle boots due to the chunkier design and sole. -
Oberon Boot · D-width · Find your size.
Our wide-fit ankle boot is built with a generous D-width for a roomier feel through the foot. If other Merry People styles have felt a little snug, the Oberon is a great place to start. Similar in weight to Bobbi and Andie at approximately 600–650g per boot (EU39).

Clogs

The go-anywhere slip-on. Standard B-width, but the open back means width is less of a factor than in a closed boot. Most people find their usual size works well.
Sandals

Our everyday sandal with adjustable straps. A C-width fit - sitting between our B-width boots and the D-width Oberon - with 3 adjustable straps per shoe for maximum comfort and flexibility. Features a sugarcane EVA footbed with built-in arch support and heel cushion. Weighs approximately 385g per sandal (EU39).
