Nope. These Merry People boots are 100% brand new and built to deliver waterproof, warm, comfortable, and colourful wear! With each design, we order certain amounts of colours and sizes to sell. But sometimes we’re off the mark, and new boots are left to sit in our warehouse. We want to do something about it, turning a negative into a positive by giving back to our gardening communities across the country.

Our boots are universally loved by gardeners, so the idea was planted to donate stock that could grow into something significant, creating a positive impact on the environment and our local Australian community.

We will look at the volume of the applications and decide based on the following;

1) The validity of the community garden (ie: social proof, website, documents proving established community garden)
2) If the requested sizes and volume of products are available
3) The merriness of application (photos & videos = extra points!)

The bulk of the volume will be our Darcy Mid-Calf Boots, but we will also aim to have a mix of our Bobbi Boots and some Billie Clogs in every order!

Unfortunately not… we will be picking products at random from our warehouse based on what's available.

Yes, you sure can! We want these Merry People's to fit like a glove and feet warm and dry, so you can enjoy the outdoors for longer.

Please note: we will be limited to what sizes we have available. We’ll try to fulfil your request to the best of our stock on hand. If you ask for something that’s not available, we’ll let you know before we ship your order.

No, our kids' boots aren’t included in this giveback campaign; they’re too busy getting muddy at the playground!

Sadly not. We won’t be able to facilitate any returns or exchanges for the pairs given in this campaign.

Top tip: if the size is not right for you, you can try adding another inner sole, wearing thicker socks or taking the existing inner sole out.

To apply, please tell us why your community garden needs a sprinkle of Merry People and what projects you plan to use them for.

We’ll also ask for some details about your community garden, including where it’s located, how many people are involved, and links to your website or social media so we can get a better sense of what you do. 

We will also require formal verification for your community garden which can be provided in a variety of ways: 

+ Council registration confirmation (where applicable)
+ Proof of recent fundraising or events (e.g. flyers, photos, donation drives)
+ Not-for-profit incorporation details (optional for more established gardens)

Lastly, let us know how many pairs of Merry People's you need and the sizes required. The more information you share, the better we can support your community garden!

We want to spread the love far and wide, so we are only donating boots to community garden groups, not individuals. That way we can bring more people together, to create more beauty and community spirit in Merry People boots! 

Yes! You’re very welcome to apply on behalf of a community garden you volunteer at. Just make sure you include all the relevant details about the garden and your involvement when you apply.

Yes, you can apply whether you’ve just started your garden or are about to start one! We’d love to support your growing journey at any stage. Just share a bit about your garden plans when you apply.

Just once per community garden. We want to give as many community gardeners as possible the opportunity to enjoy our Merry People boots in community gardens across Australia.

By the 8th of July 2025 at the latest. Products will start getting shipped that week.

That’s completely up to you and your team. We suggest giving the boots to members of your community garden who you’d love to recognise, whether they’ve been amazing volunteers, long-time helpers, or just bring a bit of joy to the space!

Nope! Leave that to us. No matter where you are in Australia, we will ship them out of our warehouse to your community workspace.
