Our Story

Hi! I’m Dani. I grew up on a dairy farm in Gippsland wearing gumboots. Fast forward to 2014, while working a corporate job, I couldn’t find comfy, stylish, all-weather boots. That inspired me to create Merry People. I hope our boots bring comfort and a little extra joy to your everyday adventures!

Say hello to Sand! Our first cream coloured boot, long-requested by our Merry community, has landed ashore. This light ‘n' creamy neutral shade is paired with a contrasting deep black neoprene for an effortless and easygoing look, a go-to colourway for all seasons!

The perfect everyday rain boot. The Bobbi seamlessly blends fashion and function with natural rubber and a neoprene lining. Our best-selling boots are designed for utmost comfort. Gifting Season Extended Returns

We want you, or the gift receiver, to be in love with this purchase. If the size or colour isn't quite right or if they need to be returned for another reason, please let us know and we can offer you an exchange or a full refund.

We have extended the returns window from our usual 30 days. Orders placed from the start of November to 24th December 2024 will be eligible for an extended returns period of 90 days.

We will cover the cost of you returning the boots to us if you're in Australia or New Zealand. Rest of world return shipping at your cost (we will send out your exchange size free of charge).

Womens and Mens Sizing Recommendations

Bobbi boots run true to size. We suggest you go with your standard shoe size. If you wear thick socks, then measure your foot wearing the thicker socks. Send us an email if you are unsure about sizing.

We recommend the inner sole of the Bobbi boot to be around the same length as your foot. The neoprene lining around your foot will soften over time.

The boots should be slightly snug to start as the natural rubber will soften with wear. The insole is removable which can add about half a size when removed, or you can add your own footbed or orthotic.

The only shoes you need
I took these boots on a trip to the UK where I went on walks with thick mud, steep slippery rocks and stream crossings. My feet stayed warm and dry the whole time and the shoes have really good grip so I wasn’t worried about slipping over. I love that I can also dress them up and wear them into the city. They are comfortable for all day wear and you can walk confidently knowing you won’t slip! If you only took one pair of shoes travelling this would be the one. The only shoes I can recommend for wet muddy walks.

Perfect for winter in Europe
Took these on our trip to Europe during Christmas where they saw rain and snow action. They were excellent.

Perfect boots
They fit well, comfortable and rain proof, so good! The size guide was 100% accurate even though it said smaller than the size I normally buy for shoes. I bought a size up and they were too big so I exchanged them for the smaller size that the guide recommended and they fit perfectly. The exchange process was very convenient too.
