RESEARCH MAKES A DIFFERENCE • Did you know that breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia? 

1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and approximately 57 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer every day. 

But research IS making a difference, as the five-year survival rate for breast cancer has increased from 76% to 92%! 

However, the five-year survival rate for ovarian cancer is just 49%.

Ovarian cancer has no early detection test, is difficult to diagnose, and treatment approaches have barely changed in 30 years. Fundraising for further research is essential, and for the first time, money raised by the Mother’s Day Classic Foundation this year will go towards funding ovarian cancer research, as well as breast cancer research.
